On June 18, 1939, Estella was united in marriage to John Plank of Harper, who survives her.

Six children-Max (Sherri) Plank, Dennis (Ruth) Plank, Jay (Pat) Plank, Marianne (Bruce) Bass, Linda Plank, and Kevin (Deanna) Plank, survive her as well as brothers Leland King of Portland, Oregon and Wayne King of Flushing, New York, and sister Dorothy Troyer of Harper, Kansas.

Two sisters, Bernice and Joanna, preceded her in death.

Funeral Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, December 30, 1985 in the Elliott Funeral Home Chapel, Harper, Kansas with Rev. Weldon Martens of Pleasant Valley Mennonite Church officiating. Interment was in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Harper, Kansas.
